I am woefully disorganised.
I have two kids at home, run my own business AND work for others too. Yet, I still can’t seem to get my you know what together!
I love organisers. I buy diaries like there will never be another one printed ever again. I have planners and calendars and organisers up the whazoo. But you know what? I’m STILL not organised! I forget to use them, I couldn’t be bothered using them, it’s too hard, yada yada yada. I’m clearly not a person made for organisers.
Or am I?
The Origami Collective Mindfulness planner looks like it would be hard work, but it’s totally not. It has allowed me to separate the parts of my day and my life that I was all jumbling into one big mess.
My thoughts, my goals, my day, my chores, my jobs, meals, shopping and even passwords. All are separate from one another, yet together in one planner, so I can still keep track of everything at a very quick glance.
I can print out the planner as many times as I like, add more pages, take pages away, and it helps keep me focussed on what I really should be paying attention to, instead of letting all of the little day to day things get in the way.
I love that I can personalise it with my own colours – although, my 8-year-old has done most of the decorating for me! Still, it’s a planner that no one else has and I like it like that!
The ‘Reaching My Goals’ page has been especially useful in my personal business, as I strive to reach targets I have set myself. Instead of having them in my head, they are written down, coloured in and placed where I can see them each time I sit down to work.
I’ve even used the Brainstorm page and Reaching My Goals pages for Miss 8, to help her with her chores around the house, whilst still allowing her to use her creativity and imagination to make her ideas come to fruition.
It’s a really simple planner, but amazingly, helps to organise a very complicated life.
I am a bit of a slacker when it comes to hydration, but the planner even has THAT as a checklist!! Can you believe it??
If you’re worried about all the fancy stuff, don’t. There is the regular monthly calendar to a page where you can insert all the regular events, outings and extracurriculars that you need to do. Even the other members of the household will be able to work out what’s going on!
I fully recommend heading over to the Origami Collective and getting your Mindfulness Planner immediately. It’s a great way to start your 2017!
