Where to buy: Dyson V10

I have been using my Dyson V10 for a month now and there is no doubt in my mind that they are improving on their previously exceptional performance enormously.  This V10 has so much going for it that it even makes their earlier models look a bit ordinary.

Features and Benefits:

  • Easy to Use
  • Powerful
  • Long Lasting Battery
  • Accessories for every occasion

Reviewers Experience

Where do I start to explain this unit?  There is so much to say and it’s all positive.  Firstly, it is the development and research they apply to everything they do.  Dyson is a global technology company that has made a habit of transforming each category they have entered with radical and iconic reinventions that work, perform and look very different to established norms.  They are about better ideas and better technologies, to solve the problems that are otherwise often ignored.

Dyson currently operates in five main categories of machines, being: vacuum cleaners, environmental control machines, hair dryers, hand dryers and lighting. They have also revealed that they have been working on an electric vehicle for the past three years.

But back to the V10 cordless vacuum.  It’s an absolute breeze to use.  Pardon the pun, but it’s simple, the motor whips up a real storm – without the noise – it’s easy to use and it does the job.  In fact, it does the job so well it’s easy to see why they are no longer developing corded vacuums.

I have a very good corded Dyson vacuum, but it hasn’t been touched since this new model entered the house.  The V10 is light to hold, easy to manoeuvre, is so powerful that it picks up everything in its path and a bit extra if you’re not looking.  And it has 3 levels of power for you to select to suit any occasion.

What about run time with all this power – well, they managed to increase the power in the V10 and to extend the run time!

Dyson engineered a more energy-dense battery, without any additional weight and they improved the electronics and the battery system management.  All together it adds up to 60 minutes of suction.[1] And because the machine has a trigger, rather than an on/off switch the moment you pull the trigger, the motor starts and accelerates to operating speed in a fraction of a second.

They delivered powerful suction but didn’t stop with the motor, the accessories work beautifully with the rest of the package. The direct-drive cleaner head has a powerful motor located inside the brush bar which drives stiff nylon bristles deep into carpet pile to remove ground-in dirt, while there are also soft anti-static carbon fibre filaments to remove fine dust from hard floors.

The soft-roller cleaner head removes large debris and fine dust from hard floors simultaneously. A larger roller covered in soft woven nylon traps large debris, whilst anti-static carbon fibre filaments removes fine dust. A direct-drive motor sits within the roller, allowing full-width, edge to edge cleaning.

Remembering that humans use their vacuums, Dyson engineers have wrapped both the pre- and post-motor filters around the motor as one sealed unit to deliver improved whole-machine filtration and capturing 99.97% of allergens as small as 0.3 microns – releasing cleaner air.[2]

This is one very tidy unit – easy to use, simple and clean in its form and delivering what it’s there to do.
