Jac BowieAfter following her passion for Burlesque show production for 10 years, Jac moved into the area of networking for business women, which saw her create Business in Heels.  Within 18 months of starting, she had expanded to over 45 branches worldwide!

In 2014, Jac decided to go after her childhood dream of working in radio and sold Business in Heels.  She now works at Mix 104.9, broadcasting live weekdays from 3 – 7pm.

Who is your family made up of?

My husband Dan, (ex-Farmer!) and our children Kai (11) and Alizienne (7)

What is a typical day with your family like?

I love my hours, I don’t start until 10:30am and work until 7pm. But I am chief smoothie maker. So Dan gets up and gets the troupes organised and I either have a PT session with my trainer at our house, (2 days a week) and the other 3 I get to drive the kids to school and chat about what’s happening on the day for them.

Dan collects the kids at present (we have a nanny starting soon) and it’s funny because my first airbreak is on at 3pm, so they all love tuning in on the way home!

I get home around 7:30, and my wonderful husband normally has dinner on the go, or on Wednesday nights, we do family movie night. It’s a weekly tradition where we rotate turns to choose a movie and takeaway!!! Last night was Pitch Perfect 2 and Mexican 😉

Who is one person in your life you are thankful for and why?

I’m sure that’s pretty obvious by reading above. My husband is an incredible support. I could not have followed my dream to move up to Darwin and start a whole new career without him. And he’s taken on 2 kids with ease. Fantastic husband, father and my best friend.

Where do you live and if we were to visit you what would you show us?

We live in a small suburb about 20 mins from Darwin, it’s lovely. It’s set high with a massive balcony (with a fan!) and all white, which I love, as I am very much a French/country style lover when it comes to furniture. We are mostly found on our massive couch, or outside by the pool, where I mostly love to have a glass of wine and sit on the ledge and socialize!

What is your greatest talent or ability?

I’ve no shortage of business ideas. I see ideas all the time. It’s more of a problem trying not to do them all, and just focus on one. That’s why this job has been so great for me. I can insert ideas into my own ever-changing show, but it’s all got form and function, and heading towards one purpose.

If you had the attention of the world for just 10 seconds, what would you say?

If you can afford to give to others who need it, do whatever you can. It doesn’t have to be money. It could be your mind, your time, your ears.

If you could have any superpower, which would you choose?

Amazing singing voice. I think mine is great, but it’s sooooo not in reality, ha!
