Who is your family made up of?

My family is made up of myself, partner Gary and our 3-year-old daughter, Isla.  Gary and myself come from Scotland and have lived here in Australia for 10  years. My parents, siblings and nephew and niece also live here in Australia so it’s wonderful to have big family get togethers. It’s great we can Facetime with Gary’s family too!

What is a typical day with your family like?

Running our own business makes life a little crazy and no two days are the same… ever!   Usually, our day starts with Gary or myself heading out  to coach an early morning class, and then a workout ourselves before Isla wakes. Isla is a night owl rather than getting up  early!   We run our business from The HIIT Factory HQ in Melbourne so spend a lot of the day there working on the laptops when not running classes. We  have a team of 6 instructors and 2 admin and we train hundreds of clients each week in person and thousands via my App ‘PT in My Pocket’.  I love to cook healthy meals and have just finished writing our latest cook book collaboration with a dear friend and fellow foodie.   When I can, I will get out for a run with a friend which is a bit of ‘me time’    Isla loves to catch up with her little friends at our classes which are super child friendly and often she will do a dance or kiddy rock class and her day is complete with a play at the park.

Who is one person in your life you are thankful for and why?

This is so hard to answer! I am thankful for each and every one of my family members and they have all done things I am thankful for and are very unique.   I am of course very thankful for having Gary and him putting up with my creative brain, drive and ideas. We make a great team!

Where do you live and if we were to visit you what would you show us?

I live in the Inner West of Melbourne and we are surrounded by wonderful things to show you!  The food scene is fantastic, it makes it hard to leave our local area as we are spoilt  for choice.  We have a lovely beach in neighbouring suburb Williamstown and the fantastic running route up the Maribyrnong river. If you were stopping by, then you would  absolutely need to come and do a workout at The HIIT factory headquarters in Yarraville – where the magic happens!     Afterwards, relax at the pop-up park and then drop in to catch a movie at the Sun Theatre, the finest cinema in the country!

What is your greatest talent or ability?

I asked a friend who was with me to help me answer this one, as it’s always hard to blow your own trumpet, right?     His answer “you turn your visions into reality”  and “you don’t only dream big but you do”.    I think I have a really unique ability to get people moving and setting goals and achieving things they never thought would be possible. This makes me very happy!

If you had the attention of the world for just 10 seconds, what would you say?

I would ask people to act with kindness towards others, be honest, and pursue their dreams with passion.

If you could have any superpower, which would you choose?

It’s not a superpower as such, but a super heroine!  I love Wonder Woman and so does Isla. We often throw our right arm up into the sky and pretend to  fly, and most of all, act strong and with courage!
