Linda Enever - Family Capers General Manager and Administrator

Linda is Family Capers General manger and it was her vision to create a resource for all members of the family from Babies to Grandparents, and with that in mind the Family Capers concept was born.

A mother herself, Linda understands the importance of a supportive and informed community for everyone and also understands that family needs are not just limited to “Mums and Dads”. A family is made up of aunties, uncles, brothers, sisters and grandparents who all need a supportive Community to be part of.

A recruitment manger and career advisor previously, Linda brings with her knowledge of the employment industry to the Family Capers team as well a strong marketing background. As a mother Linda has also experienced her own IVF journey to be blessed with the beautiful girl she has today.

Hi I’m Kelli. I’m a WAHM to 2 adorable children, with a very large age gap! Caleb is 13yrs old while Seven   is just 14 months!

A Registered Nurse, I work from home providing Nursing Assessments over the phone, for the general public. Before this I was working in a NeoNatal Unit caring for sick and premature babies. While I absolutely adored this role, I found the irregular hours and commuting took me away from my young family too much.

On top of my Nursing, I have studied Midwifery, Wedding Planning & Management and one day, hope to become a Doula and advocate predominantly for young and single mothers. As a young mother the first time around, then single not long after caused me to experience first hand the barriers and struggles encountered by these young ladies. I have also had a small amount of grief training; and through my role as an RN have assisted many parents through the loss of a pregnancy or child. Having experienced this form of loss myself I can see it from the perspective of the griever.

Hi, my name is Kirsty. I am a SAHM to a beautiful 18 month old, Ava-Jayde and partner do a wonderful man & great daddy. I have recently just moved to the Sunshine Coast from Brisbane, which has been quite an adjustment, but am enjoying it.

Having suffered through a rough childhood/teenage years, I have learnt so much from being a mother that I want to educate her with. I believe that every mother parents their children in a different way, and none of it is wrong or 'weird'. I believe no matter whether you're breastfeeding, bottle feeding, co-sleeping or not, cloth bummed or not or practicing controlled crying/gentle parenting, as long as your child is fed, clothed and loved that is all that matters. I believe alot of pressure is put on first time parents to what you are "suppose" to do or be like and I believe we need to get rid of that stigma. There is no right and wrong answers and we are all constantly learning all the time.

I hope to in the near future study Psychology as I love to understand the reasons why people behave and think in the way that they do, but for now I am enjoying spending time teaching my little one and watching her grow.
I am very excited for Linda and know that this forum will be a success as well support and learn from each other. I look forward to meeting everyone and hearing their stories

I come from the gorgeous Hunter Valley wine region, with a passion for adult education & web marketing. I spent 7 years in Sydney straight out of school then lived in the US for a year, working in New York & Houston, then coming back to the Hunter to meet the love of my life.

I am so lucky to have the most amazing family and friends (from all around the world) whom I never get to see anywhere near enough. I love travelling (and don't need an excuse), gardening and have the reputation of always having a million projects on the go (my poor hubby), making work first and being the one who keeps our friends organised. However, that's all about to change! Stay tuned....”

Hi! I’m Cindy, 36 year old SAHM to 4 kids aged 9 years to 17 months. As if this isn’t full on enough, I am also a WAHM (in my spare time!) and am about to embark on a wonderful journey of home schooling my children in 2010, not to mention TTC baby #5!

I live in Sydney’s Blue Mountains with my partner, our kids and 5 cats! I have studied my way half way through a teaching degree, which I do plan on finishing one day, but right now, being with my family and nurturing my kids is more important than finishing uni.

I consider myself very lucky that my partner’s job enables me to be at home for and with my children, and also allows me to dabble in my sewing and various other crafty things.

Being a part of the Family Capers Community fills me with excitement and joy!

I am a registered nurse and started my career in an extremely busy Sydney hospital, spending a majority of my time working in the A&E department. Hating the big smoke, breaking up with my ex and becoming very sick led me to move back home to Canberra a little lost and not sure what I wanted to do. Someone then suggested to me to go out to a town called Narrandera (which I had never even heard of at the time) but I thought why not and went out and worked in the 30 bed hospital (smaller that the whole A&E department I use to work in!). I loved it!! It just confirmed for me I wanted to do rural nursing. There I also met my DF ( =) ) When my contract ended there I came back to Canberra to do my midwifery, this is something I’ve also always wanted to do and I will be qualified at the end of January.

My passion for midwifery isn’t about the physical catching a baby. It is about the journey the women go through to get there. It’s about being with them for it, supporting them, educating them, being a friend to them, and seeing them grow along with this new child. No matter how many births I see and are a part of, that first moment when the mother sees her new baby and the look on her face…I always cry.

I’m a pagan, so am very spiritual, I celebrate the natural cycles of the earth and her creations.

DF and I currently TTC #1. I have always felt I was ‘ready’ to be a mother since I was 19 but unfortunately I had to take the long road. I have finally met the most amazing man whom I plan to spend the rest of my life with and we are going to make it official by marrying at the end of March 2010.

My other passion is art. I enjoy sketching, painting and creating. My main project atm is sewing my wedding dress. I am always trying to find new ways of expressing myself and I have found a way to do that in creating and art.
I look forward to making new friends on this forum, and hopefully be able to assist and help others in their life journeys!
